Front-end Developer (Application Development - Customer)

The Front-end Developer will report to the Manager, Digital Development.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, modular, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
• Develop user interfaces using Angular, ensuring responsiveness, accessibility, and optimal performance.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Angular core concepts (components, modules/standalone components, directives, services, dependency injection, lifecycle hooks).
• Hands-on experience with RxJS for reactive programming (Observables, Subjects, operators, error handling, subscription management).
• Solid experience with NgRx Store for scalable state management (actions, reducers, effects, selectors, entity patterns).
• Implement complex frontend logic using RxJS and NgRx in enterprise-scale Angular applications.
• Good understanding of Angular architecture patterns, routing, lazy loading, guards, interceptors, and reusable component design.
• Build and maintain robust forms using Reactive Forms with synchronous/asynchronous validations.
• Familiarity with frontend build tools and workflows such as Angular CLI, Webpack, Babel, or similar tooling.
• Write and maintain unit/integration tests for Angular apps (Jasmine/Karma/Jest/Cypress or equivalent).
• Stay updated on emerging frontend technologies best practices and advocate for their adoption when appropriate

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 4+ years of web application development experience.
• Experience with web application frameworks – Angular and React
• Implement complex frontend logic using RxJS for reactive programming.
• Proficiency in HTML/ CSS, JavaScript
• Utilize NgRx Store for state management to ensure scalable and maintainable code.
• Comfortable developing in an Agile environment.
• Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery/Deployment experience
• Real-world experience with mission-critical enterprise REST / GraphQL APIs (either as consumer or producer)
• Good understanding of cross platform development using PAAS cloud systems.
• Good understanding of frontend builds tools such as Webpack, Babel, or Parcel.
• Comfortable analyzing network traffic using Fiddler/Postman/Wireshark etc.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and in rapidly changing environments.
• Demonstrates openness and willingness to adapt to new ways of doing things.
• Takes responsibility for the results and actively participates in the future direction of the organization.
• Demonstrates concern for satisfying external and/or internal customers.

• Certifications in core programming languages, Cloud platforms, DevOps and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with native module development (Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, or Java).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and mobile deployment pipelines.
• Experience with testing frameworks
• Experience with cloud services and backend integrations (Firebase, AWS, etc.).
• Understanding of security best practices in web and mobile applications.
