Must Have Skills:

• Java
• Angular v14+
• Apache Struts framework experience
• Node (FE) experience
• This is a modernization project and we need someone that can do the analysis of the older tech and get it into the new tech.
• They will need to be able to reverse engineer Struts-based applications in addition to coding.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of a Scrum team within the Digital Platforms Technology Group. You’ll be participating in design discussions, analysis, and building quality code that adheres to design and architecture standards. Your role will involve close collaboration with the Squad Lead, Scrum Master, Analysts, Quality Assurance professionals, Architects, and fellow Developers. Together, you will design, build, test, and deliver features that elevate Fidelity’s digital experiences.

• A full stack engineer with a strong foundation in java-based web applications.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring:

• BS/BA Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Robust critical thinking skills coupled with a desire for growth, to learn and to engage with peers in technical and design discussions.
• Experience in communicating technical needs and capabilities to non-technical team members, product owners, and partners.
• Ability to utilize a long-term mentality to help produce scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Passion to provide guidance on standard methodologies and collaborate with other Developers within the wider Digital Platforms Technology team. Help to improve engineering, architectural and coding standards.
• Strong proficiency in server-side development: Java, Spring, Middle tier restful services, Camel
• Hands-on experience working with Apache Struts in enterprise or legacy environments.
• Ability to debug, maintain, and modernize Struts-based applications.
• Solid experience with front-end technologies such as Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node, NPM, HTML/CSS, RxJS.
• Experience with incident management and issue troubleshooting is a plus.
• Experience in financial services applications is a plus.
