Job Summary

The Standard is seeking a Full‑Stack Software Engineer III with strong skills in Angular on the front end and Java/Spring Boot on the back end to build secure, modern experiences and services for our Employer Portal. You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Product Analysts, Scrum Masters, Front‑End and Back‑End Engineers, SDETs, Data Engineers, DevOps/SRE, and UX to deliver enterprise‑grade capabilities that power customer‑facing applications

As a Full-Stack Software Engineer III, you will work with general instructions to build highly scalable and reliable front-end and back-end services, including UIs and REST APIs, using Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, our in-house design system comprising web components, and Java/Spring Boot to deliver digital capabilities to customers. You will use your front- and back-end expertise to identify solutions and contribute to innovation by advancing best ‑ in ‑ class software engineering patterns and methodologies that can transform business processes. Additionally, you will develop and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines to ensure scalable, reliable, and efficient deployments, working within Azure DevOps and GitHub to support streamlined development workflows.

  • Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru, India is a requirement of the role.

Mode of Working: This role follows a hybrid work model, with a primary base in Bengaluru. While on-site presence is essential for key engagements, flexibility is offered for remote work based on business needs and team alignment.

Skills And Background You’ll Need

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Information Systems is required.

Experience: Typically requires 5+ years of related experience.

  • Experience implementing front-end design patterns using frameworks like Angular or React
  • Experience implementing Java API design patterns using frameworks like Spring Boot
  • Experience optimizing applications for speed, responsiveness, and maintainability
  • Experience pre-processing multi-modal data (text, images) to handle user input, cleaning and formatting text
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes on Azure platform
  • Experience developing and implementing in Microsoft Azure
  • Experience implementing or working with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
  • Working within an Agile delivery / DevOps methodology to deliver proof of concept and production implementation in iterative sprints
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Strong data background with experience in integrating with databases (SQL and NoSQL)
  • Experience configuring and implementing Azure Application Gateway and API management solutions like Kong Konnect preferred
  • Experience working with event driven publish-subscribe solution patterns using solutions like Azure Event Hub or Kafka and developing end-to-end orchestrations preferred
