- Improve usability and process clarity in areas where existing workflows are fragmented, manual, or error-prone
- Implement frontend validation and workflow guidance that supports better data quality at the point of use
- Contribute to architecture, coding standards, testing, and long-term maintainability of internal applications
- Collaborate directly with users to understand needs, refine requirements, and deliver practical, incremental improvements
- Evaluate and decide where AI/ML adds value in user workflows vs. deterministic approaches, and implement accordingly

- Relevant professional experience in building production-grade systems (3-5 years for Middle, 5-8 years for Senior)
- Strong experience in web application development and user-facing software engineering
- Experience building internal business or engineering applications, dashboards, portals, or workflow tools
- Solid understanding of frontend architecture, UI quality, API integration, and maintainable software design
- Experience with modern web technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks and REST-based integration)
- Good understanding of validation, error handling, and user workflow design
- Ability to convert complex technical requirements into simple and intuitive user experiences
- Strong communication skills in English and German, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, researchers, and project stakeholders
- Experience in engineering, scientific, industrial, or manufacturing software
- Experience with authentication/authorization, role-based workflows, or traceability views
