Summary

Duties

  • Acts as the technical lead for IAM projects, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery; leads complex troubleshooting and incident response for identity; provides technical leadership on design, advanced support, troubleshooting, process improvement, and documentation for all IAM issues. Mentors and coaches junior engineers, specialists and app teams to build identity management capabilities. Leads IAM automation initiatives to streamline identity provisioning, access requests, and self-service capabilities; develops and implements automated IAM workflows. Continuously reviews and optimizes IAM workflows and processes to meet customer needs, reduces risk and enhances efficiency. Defines and executes the long-term strategic roadmap for the IAM ecosystem, aligning technology capabilities with Senate priorities.

Qualifications

Other Duties/ Responsibilities Plans, assigns, directs and coordinates work efforts; develops project plans, timelines, and task assignments. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with Senate office and committee staff, the public, Senate executive management, leadership, colleagues, and vendors. Acts as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating complex identity issues into actionable solutions. Maintains training and learning on relevant IT concepts. Required Work Experience 8-10 years of relevant experience. Required Special Skills/ Knowledge As part of our hiring process, we may conduct a skills assessment to better understand an applicant’s proficiency in key areas relevant to the role. Managing Joiner, Mover and Leaver (“JML”) processes. Workflow management and design. Strong grasp of directory services and IAM concepts (attributes; Sources of Truth; replication; user access management; SCIM integration and support; Active Directory and / or other Identity platforms). Desired Qualifications Overseeing the deployment of IAM solutions across both on-premises and cloud environments and implement solutions across workforce IAM, PAM, and customer IAM ecosystems. Developing and implementing automated JML workflows. Mentoring and developing the skills of junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Acting as the technical lead for large-scale IAM projects; collaborating and coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery. Working Conditions This position directly supports essential services of the U.S. Senate. As such, this position requires the employee be available and prepared to work during a lapse, in inclement weather, on holidays, weekends, and during late nights to ensure essential services to the Senate continue without interruption. In the context of government furloughs, this position is considered excepted The U.S. Senate network cannot be taken offline for maintenance during the workday, or while the Senate is in session. As such, maintenance windows may only occur at night, on weekends, and occasionally on holidays. Employees who perform systems upgrades, maintenance, wiring, backups, support our alternate data centers will have schedules that include working nights, weekends, and holidays. Sedentary with extended periods of sitting and standing. Security Clearance This position requires that the applicant obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government security clearance. Applicants must be U.S. citizens in order for the SAA to submit your application for a security clearance.

Education

High School Diploma/ GED.
