Senior AI Software Engineer

A leading global provider of healthcare software solutions is looking for an experienced engineer to join the team in Hanover. This role focuses on developing intelligent E-Health applications that leverage cutting-edge technology to simplify healthcare workflows. What you'll be doing

• Developing and operating modern web applications across a diverse SaaS portfolio using frontend, backend, and DevOps layers.

• Integrating AI-native features and agentic experiences into products using LLMs, retrieval methods, and structured workflows.

• Designing and maintaining cloud-native services with a focus on reliability, security, and developer productivity.

• Collaborating with product management and UX teams to establish best practices for agentic applications and AI engineering.

• Applying an outcome-driven mindset to translate complex healthcare workflows into functional, high-quality software features.

What we're looking for

• Extensive senior-level experience in full-stack engineering with deep knowledge of React, Angular, Java Spring Boot, or Python.

• Advanced academic background with a Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Practical experience with cloud and DevOps technologies including Kubernetes, Terraform, Kafka, and Azure OpenAI or similar LLM tools.

• Proven track record of using AI tools in software development, including experience with AI pipelines and context engineering.

• Professional proficiency in both German and English with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to innovation.
