Role Overview
- As a Software Lead, you will own the technical direction and delivery of our consumer-facing applications and digital platforms. You will lead the design and evolution of the end-to-end architecture spanning mobile/web apps, backend services, cloud infrastructure, and data flows, while ensuring seamless integration with UAV and operational systems.
- You will guide a team of engineers, align multiple technical stakeholders, and remain hands-on—driving pragmatic execution in an early-stage environment and setting high standards for quality, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
Your Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership & Architecture.
- Establish architectural principles and guardrails that ensure scalability, security, reliability, observability, and maintainability across the stack.
- Lead architectural alignment across teams (application, platform, cloud, embedded), ensuring consistent decisions, clean interfaces, and long-term coherence.
- Champion engineering excellence through code quality standards, CI/CD discipline, robust testing strategies, and operational readiness (monitoring, incident response, runbooks)
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering, including system design/architecture and delivery of application platforms (backend services, cloud infrastructure, and user-facing systems).
- Demonstrated experience in a technical leadership role (e.g., Software Lead, Tech Lead, Engineering Lead)—guiding engineers, setting direction, and owning outcomes.
- Strong hands-on experience with modern backend and frontend technologies, such as:
- Python (FastAPI or similar), TypeScript (React, Angular, Svelte or similar), Java (Spring Boot or similar)
- Should be able to decide what Hardware to choose
- Fluency in English
- Experience in Automotive, logistics, mobility, robotics, UAV or aerospace-adjacent domains.
Nice to have
- German language is a plus not mandatory.
- Familiarity with aviation standards such as DO-178C or ARP4754A (beneficial but not required).
- Embedded or real-time experience is a plus
