Lead Integration Engineer (Mulesoft)


About the Role:


An opportunity has arisen for a Lead Integration Engineer to join a large enterprise organisation undergoing significant investment across cloud, digital platforms, and enterprise technology.


This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you'll take ownership of integration strategy, API delivery, and platform engineering while mentoring a team of engineers. You'll play a key role in designing scalable, secure, and modern integration solutions that support critical business systems across the organisation.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead the design and delivery of enterprise integration solutions
  • Build and enhance APIs and integration services across cloud platforms
  • Provide technical leadership, coaching and mentoring to engineers
  • Collaborate with architects, product teams and business stakeholders
  • Drive engineering best practices across development, testing, security and DevOps
  • Contribute to platform strategy and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Remain hands-on with development and solution delivery


Skills Required:


  • 7+ years' experience in Software Engineering, Integration Engineering or API Development
  • Strong experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, CloudHub and DataWeave
  • Experience building and supporting REST, SOAP and GraphQL APIs
  • Development experience across technologies such as C#, Node.js, TypeScript, React or similar
  • Experience working within AWS environments
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD, DevOps and Agile delivery practices
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Previous experience leading or mentoring engineers
  • MuleSoft Certifications (Ideally Platform Dev II)
