하이스트레인저는 사람의 마음을 데이터로 이해하려는 Emotion AI 기술기업입니다. 뇌파, 맥박, 표정, 시선처럼 말로 표현되기 전의 무의식적 신호를 멀티모달 AI로 해석해, 사람이 콘텐츠 앞에서 무엇을 느끼는지를 읽어냅니다.

저는 영화 투자와 배급을 하며 오랫동안 관객과 콘텐츠가 만나는 순간을 지켜봐 왔습니다. 그 경험이 이 회사의 출발점이 되었고, 지금은 실시간 반응 분석 플랫폼 '인사이트 플로우(Insight Flow)'와 함께 웹매거진 씨네랩, SNS 채널 씨네픽을 운영하고 있습니다. 기술이 사람을 학습하는 것을 넘어 공감하고 이해하는 방향으로 나아가는 것 — 저희가 믿는 방향입니다.

Hello, I'm DK Kim, CEO of HiStranger.

"Hello, Stranger" — that's how we always begin.

HiStranger is an Emotion AI company working to understand the human heart through data. We interpret unconscious signals — brainwaves, pulse, facial expressions, and gaze — with multimodal AI, reading what people feel in front of content before it's ever put into words.

I spent years in film investment and distribution, watching the moment where audiences and content meet. That experience became the starting point of this company. Today we're building Insight Flow, a real-time audience response analysis platform, alongside our web magazine CineLab and SNS channel CinePick. We believe technology should move beyond learning about people, toward empathizing with and understanding them.

We're looking for a backend engineer to join this journey. We're a small team — the code you write ships directly into the product, and you'll have a real voice in architecture and product decisions.

What You'll Do

• Design and build backend services and APIs for Insight Flow and our content platforms (CinePick, CineLab)
• Build and optimize data pipelines handling biosignal and behavioral data
• Improve database and application performance, and support production operations
• Work closely with our CTO, data analysts, and product team

Who We're Looking For

• Solid CS fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, system design)
• Hands-on backend experience with APIs, databases, performance, and security
• A good grasp of OOP and design patterns, and familiarity with Git-based collaboration
• All experience levels welcome — what you've built matters more than years on paper
• Bonus points for experience in data processing, statistics, or recommendation systems — and a genuine interest in film and human emotion

Working at HiStranger

• Full-time (3-month probation), Mon–Fri with flexible hours
• Seoul Startup Hub, Gongdeok (4 min from Gongdeok Station) — on-site, Korean or English fluency
• Equipment support, vacation allowance, education/seminar support
