Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking exceptional Software Engineers to join a high-performing technology team delivering innovative software solutions to complex business challenges. You'll be involved in designing, building and delivering scalable cloud-native applications while working closely with stakeholders, end users and multidisciplinary teams.

The Role:

As a Software Engineer, you will:

• Design, develop and maintain high-quality software applications
• Build modern web applications and scalable backend services
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrations
• Work across cloud-native architectures and deployment environments
• Collaborate with engineers, product stakeholders and business users to deliver innovative solutions
• Contribute to technical design, architecture and engineering best practice
• Participate in code reviews and champion software quality
• Support continuous improvement across technology, tooling and delivery processes

Required Technical Experience:

You will bring strong software engineering fundamentals and commercial experience building modern, scalable applications.

We're interested in engineers with expertise in C#/.NET, Java or Python, alongside experience developing web-based applications and services within agile environments.

You should be comfortable designing and building RESTful APIs, working with SQL databases, and contributing across the full application lifecycle, from technical design through to deployment and ongoing improvement.

On the frontend, you'll have experience developing modern user interfaces using React and TypeScript, with any exposure to real-time communication technologies such as WebSockets, SignalR or similar messaging frameworks viewed as advantageous.

You'll also have hands-on experience working with cloud technologies and deploying applications within Azure or AWS environments, with an appreciation for modern engineering practices including automated testing, CI/CD and scalable cloud-native architectures.

Candidate Profile

You will likely possess:

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related STEM discipline
• A strong academic background from a Russell Group university
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

• The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• A collaborative mindset and strong sense of ownership
