Title: Development Engineer (Support & Enhancements Team)

Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week)

Contract Length: 12 Months+

About the Role

We are seeking a Development Engineer to join a growing team responsible for maintaining and improving critical merchandising applications. This role supports business-critical platforms focused on item catalog management, pricing, and promotions while also contributing to system enhancements and long-term platform stability.

This position offers a unique blend of production support and software development, making it ideal for engineers who enjoy troubleshooting complex issues while building solutions that improve reliability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve production issues across applications, databases, monitoring tools, logs, and documentation
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• Collaborate with SMEs and development teams to restore service and meet SLA commitments
• Develop system enhancements and remediation work resulting from production incidents
• Improve observability, monitoring, and alerting capabilities
• Build features that improve platform supportability, reliability, and scalability
• Contribute to long-term stability and continuous improvement initiatives
• Participate in an on-call rotation for weekend support

Required Qualifications

• Strong Java development experience
• Experience building and supporting backend applications and APIs
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with databases, application logs, and monitoring tools
• Ability to investigate issues independently and drive solutions
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience supporting production systems in an enterprise environment

The W2 pay range for this type of role is approximately $50.00 - $70.00 per billable hour. This range is an estimate and not a guarantee of compensation.
