Software Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Java Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust backend services and APIs that support critical business functions and customer-facing products.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and related technologies
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices
• Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code following best practices
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define requirements and deliver solutions
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance
• Ensure system scalability, reliability, and security
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in software development
• Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8 or newer preferred)
• Experience with frameworks such as Spring / Spring Boot
• Solid understanding of REST APIs and microservices architecture
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
• Understanding of software design principles, data structures, and algorithms
• Experience with unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
• Exposure to front-end technologies is a plus but not required
