Our client is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Software Engineer to join its growing engineering team. The successful candidate will assist in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications while working closely with senior engineers, product teams, and quality assurance professionals. Key Responsibilities Software Development
Assist in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining web, mobile, or enterprise software applications.
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code under the guidance of senior engineers.
Participate in implementing new features, bug fixes, and software enhancements.
Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues.
Contribute to software documentation and technical specifications.
Collaboration
Work closely with Software Engineers, Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, QA Engineers, and DevOps teams.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver software solutions on time and within scope.
Communicate progress, blockers, and technical challenges to team leads.
Testing & Quality Assurance
Develop and execute unit tests to ensure software quality.
Support integration and user acceptance testing activities.
Identify and resolve defects during development and testing.
Participate in code reviews and implement feedback from senior engineers.
Follow established coding standards and development best practices.
Learning & Continuous Improvement
Stay updated on emerging technologies, programming languages, and software development trends.
Participate in technical training, mentoring sessions, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Continuously improve coding skills and software engineering practices.
Learn and adopt secure coding principles and software quality standards.
Documentation
Prepare and maintain technical documentation for applications and system components.
Document software features, APIs, and development processes.
Assist in creating deployment and user documentation where required.
RequirementsEducation
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Recent graduates with relevant internship or industrial training experience are encouraged to apply.
Experience
2–4years of experience in software development, internships, industrial training, or personal software projects.
Experience developing academic or personal software projects is an advantage.
Exposure to Agile software development methodologies is desirable.
Technical Skills
Basic proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, or PHP.
Familiarity with frontend technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React, Angular, or Vue.js.
Basic understanding of backend frameworks such as Node.js, Spring Boot, .NET, Django, Laravel, or Express.js.
Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and basic SQL.
Basic knowledge of Git and version control systems.
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) is an advantage.
Basic understanding of Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and software deployment processes is desirable.
