Indexed description
As we continue to expand the OBDeleven ecosystem, we're looking for a Android Developer who will help us build and scale mobile experiences used by automotive enthusiasts and professionals around the world.
This is not a typical Android-only role. You'll work with a shared Kotlin Multiplatform codebase powering both Android and iOS applications, collaborate closely with hardware and R&D teams, and help shape innovative solutions at the intersection of software and automotive technology.
What You'll Do
- Work with Kotlin Multiplatform code shared between Android and iOS applications
- Design, build, and maintain high-quality mobile features used by customers worldwide
- Tackle ambiguous, loosely defined problems where the right solution isn't always obvious
- Work in an AI-augmented engineering environment, using tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, and other coding agents to accelerate development and experimentation
- Implement logic for innovative new features that have a direct impact on our products and users
- Collaborate closely with mobile, backend, hardware/embedded, and other R&D engineers
- Own technical solutions end-to-end, including scoping, planning, estimation, implementation, and delivery
- Contribute to architectural decisions and help ensure long-term maintainability of the codebase
- Maintain high standards for code quality, performance, and user experience, even in fast-moving product development environments
- Continuously improve development practices, tooling, and engineering workflows
- Strong hands-on experience developing mobile applications with Kotlin and Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP)
- Solid understanding of Android development principles and mobile application architecture
- Understanding of cross-platform mobile development concepts and shared codebase design
- Ability to identify, prevent, and manage technical debt
- Strong focus on delivering high-quality, user-centered solutions
- Experience designing scalable, maintainable, and well-structured software
- Practical exposure to iOS development, Swift, or collaboration across Android and iOS codebases would be considered an advantage
- Basic understanding of backend services, APIs, and integration patterns
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools (such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar) as part of your daily workflow
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive solutions forward
- Fluency in Lithuanian and full professional proficiency in English
