Alliance for Recruitment is the largest recruitment consultancy in Lithuania measured by capacity, number of successful placements and annual growth. We are a high performing team of recruitment experts from various different industries.

Our client, Sentante, is developing a groundbreaking robotic platform for endovascular surgery featuring true 1:1 haptic force feedback - the only system of its kind in the world. Sentante is entering an exciting stage of growth. The company has a team of around 50 professionals based in Kaunas. This is an opportunity to help build the infrastructure for remote robotic surgery - technology that does not yet exist anywhere in the world. In this role, you will design and develop systems that securely connect surgeons with patients across networks, enabling hospitals to perform procedures that would otherwise not be possible.

We are looking for a Software Engineer to own the infrastructure that connects, secures, and maintains Sentante systems in the field. You will build and manage the Linux-based server environment, design connectivity solutions between system components and remote sites, implement secure OTA update pipelines across deployed units, and ensure surgical data is received, stored, and transmitted securely.

This is a high-ownership role in a small, senior team. Your work will run in hospital environments where reliability and security are non-negotiable.

Secure Data Reception Solutions

  • Design and implement secure pipelines for receiving, storing, and transmitting procedural data from deployed systems
  • Ensure data integrity, encryption in transit and at rest, and access control across the data infrastructure
  • Support SBOM generation, vulnerability disclosure processes, and FDA cybersecurity documentation
  • Implement audit logging and traceability for all data flows in line with medical device regulatory requirements

Required Experience & Skills

  • Linux server administration and development
  • Networked systems - TCP/IP, UDP, VPN
  • Secure software development practices
  • OTA update system design
  • Data security - encryption, access control, audit logging
  • CI/CD pipeline management
  • Shell scripting and system automation

Highly Desirable

  • FDA cybersecurity guidance (2023) or IEC 62443
  • IEC 62304 medical device software lifecycle
  • Embedded or IoT fleet management experience
  • Experience in medtech, robotics, or safety-critical systems
  • Secure boot and hardware root-of-trust concepts
  • Real-time or low-latency network optimisation
