Boeing Poland Software Engineering develops and produces avionics and electronics systems designed for use on aircraft and other platforms for purposes such as navigation, flight controls, information systems, and other core avionics functions. As a C++/Linux Software Engineer (Associate or Experienced level), the job holder will join the Software Engineering team consisting of highly skilled, high performing engineering team members supporting multiple product lines across Boeing organization.
Hiring details:
- This requisition is for a locally hired position in Poland. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
- This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at Gdańsk, Rzeszów or Warsaw office. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
- Utilizing modern computer programming techniques, tools, languages and agile software development methodologies to build software for delivered Boeing systems
- Performing engineering activities including architecture, requirements, development, integration and testing
- Proactively contributing to project execution plan to set and effectively achieve operational goals
- Project estimation and planning
- Influencing, innovating and continuously improving the software engineering process as well as quality, safety and reliability of products and services provided by Boeing
- Collaborating proactively with customers, stakeholders, peers and direct reports to understand operational and performance expectations
- Cultivating a positive staff culture, team motivation
- Proficiency in modern C++
- Proven practical knowledge of Linux OS
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- English proficiency
- 2+ years of applicable experience
- Experience in embedded Linux
- Knowledge of Linux networking stack
- Experience with x86 and ARM architecture
- Proficiency in one other programming language (python, java, javascript, etc.)
- Collaborating in international projects
- 5+ years of applicable experience
- Experience in embedded Linux
