Software Development Engineer (Orlando, FL)
We are seeking a Software Development Engineer to join our high-performing team and contribute to key projects in the Hospital Patient Monitoring domain.
Your Role
- Support project estimation, planning, requirements definition, and risk management activities, while contributing to architecture decisions that enable scalable, high-performing solutions.
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance C and C++ applications throughout the software lifecycle, delivering reliable, efficient, and well-documented code that follows established standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues through debugging, root-cause analysis, code reviews, static code analysis, and developer testing to ensure long-term product quality, stability, and performance.
- Lead Software Development teams to assess security risks, define security requirements, and support secure design reviews, threat modeling, and security architecture evaluations.
- Implement and maintain secure software development practices by identifying and remediating vulnerabilities, reviewing third-party and open-source software, responding to security incidents, and integrating security controls into development, build, and release processes.
- Experience building and supporting secure software products, including software security, cybersecurity practices, software bills of materials, open-source software compliance, and vulnerability management.
- Comfortability working with Linux or other embedded Real-Time Operating Systems, and have experience with application programming interfaces, database integration, networking protocols, and open-source software components.
- Experience using modern software development tools and practices, including GitHub, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines, and Agile development methodologies.
- You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
- You have strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Experience in healthcare, medical technology, or other regulated industries is a plus.

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
