Key Responsibilities

*Lead the design, development, and maintenance of backend services using Python and FastAPI in a production environment, ensuring code quality and architectural consistency.

*Own system design decisions, including service architecture, API contracts, scalability strategies, and reliability patterns.

*Design, optimize, and maintain relational data models using PostgreSQL, including complex query optimization and performance tuning.

*Deploy, operate, and oversee backend services on AWS, following established infrastructure and deployment patterns while improving cloud architecture where needed.

*Design and maintain serverless components using AWS Lambda, ensuring scalability and cost efficiency.

*Oversee backend services running on EC2 and containerized workloads deployed on ECS, ensuring stability and performance.

*Define and enforce backend best practices, conduct code reviews, and provide technical mentorship to developers.

*Collaborate closely with frontend and mobile developers to define API specifications, guide integrations, and resolve complex integration issues.

*Lead monitoring, debugging, and troubleshooting efforts for production systems, including root cause analysis and performance improvements.

*Identify technical debt and drive architectural improvements to enhance long-term scalability and maintainability.

Bonus / Nice to Have

*Experience in Flutter frontend development.

*Strong familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment processes, and infrastructure-as-code principles.

*Experience designing scalable, cloud-native backend architectures and distributed systems.

*Demonstrated technical leadership experience with at least 3+ years of professional backend development experience.
