RB-Ware is building next-generation autonomous welding and metal-fabrication robots. Our no-code, cobot welding systems are already deployed across Korea, Europe, Australia, and the United States—and we're now expanding our engineering team in Istanbul to support our growing global deployments.

We combine robotics, computer vision, machine learning, and sensor fusion to address the global shortage in fabricators and make welding automation ultra-accessible. If you want to work on real robots, and real industrial problems—this role is for you.

About the Role

We're looking for a mid-level Robotics Software Engineer to join our team in Istanbul. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on robot control, industrial communication, and system integration. You'll build and test software that connects robots with welders, servos, sensors, and other industrial equipment in real production environments.

What You'll Do

1. Robotics & Industrial Automation Software

• Develop and maintain software for robotics and industrial automation systems in Python
• Integrate cobots with welders, servo drives, sensors, and I/O modules
• Implement motion sequences and control logic for real welding operations
• Contribute to system architecture decisions alongside senior engineers

2. Industrial Communication & Integration

• Implement and debug industrial communication protocols including Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP, and TCP socket communication
• Test communication between robot controllers and field devices during setup and commissioning
• Build and maintain reliable data streams between hardware components
• Work closely with UI/UX developers (Flutter) to define APIs and data interfaces

3. Testing, Debugging & Field Validation

• Run experiments with real robots, welders, and test jigs
• Troubleshoot system behavior at both software and device level using logs, protocol specifications, and hardware manuals
• Diagnose performance issues and improve stability across the stack
• Deploy code to production systems used by customers worldwide

4. Documentation & Collaboration

• Write clear technical documentation for internal development and integration workflows
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
• Collaborate with global teammates across Korea, the Netherlands, and the United States

What We're Looking For

• 2–5 years of hands-on software development experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Strong proficiency in Python; working knowledge of Flutter/Dart
• Hands-on experience with collaborative robots (cobots)
• Practical experience with industrial communication protocols (Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP, TCP, or similar)
• Solid understanding of serial communication, socket programming, and basic networking
• Ability to read and work from hardware datasheets, protocol specifications, and technical manuals
• Practical hardware troubleshooting skills
• Ability to collaborate in English with global team members

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with robotics systems, embedded platforms, or real-time control software
• Familiarity with Linux environments
• Experience with AWS or cloud-deployed services
• Background in industrial automation or manufacturing environments
• Previous startup experience or ownership of end-to-end product modules
