Job Title: AWS /Flink Engineer

Location: San Antonio /Plano , TX - onsite


Primary Skills (Must-Have):

• Apache Flink – Hands-on expertise in building and maintaining Flink pipeline jobs for data processing and analytics. This is the core skill; the candidate will function as the team's subject matter expert on Flink from day one.

• Java – Strong foundational knowledge, as Flink natively supports Java. Experience with Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and related Java ecosystem tools is expected.

• AWS Development – Broad, hands-on experience with AWS services including EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, and Step Functions. Note: Experience limited solely to deploying Flink on AWS EKS does NOT meet this requirement.

• Golang – Proficiency in Golang for developing Kubernetes applications and Lambda functions.

• Terraform – Experience with Infrastructure as Code for defining and managing cloud infrastructure.

• Kubernetes / Containerization – Hands-on experience developing and deploying applications within AWS EKS, along with Docker.

• Kafka – Familiarity with real-time data streaming and asynchronous messaging.

• Version Control – Proficiency with Git.

• Agile – Familiarity with Agile/SDLC methodologies.


Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and teamwork abilities.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, code, and test features using Java and Spring Boot

• Build and maintain RESTful web services for application integrations

• Develop and maintain Apache Flink pipeline jobs

• Develop and work with Kafka for real-time data streaming

• Contribute to application deployment on AWS (EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, Step Functions)

• Define and manage infrastructure using Terraform

• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; troubleshoot and debug defects

• Create and maintain technical documentation

• Collaborate closely with senior engineers, product managers, and stakeholders across the SDLC
