Who We Are

We don’t just develop embedded software — we engineer intelligence into products. The Embedded Competence Center at NTT DATA Romania brings together experts in embedded systems, firmware development, and hardware–software integration, delivering robust and high-performance solutions for complex, safety-critical environments. With strong expertise in C/C++, AUTOSAR, real-time operating systems, and communication protocols, we design scalable embedded architectures, integrate software seamlessly with hardware, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Across the industries we support — from Automotive and Industrial Automation to Smart Devices and IoT — we transform reliable embedded technology into a foundation for innovative, dependable products.

We're looking for an experienced Developer / Function Responsible to join our Automotive Instrument Cluster team. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, integration, and technical ownership of the Touch functionality within an AUTOSAR-based Instrument Cluster platform.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Analyze and resolve complex software issues spanning hardware, drivers, AUTOSAR layers, and application software.
  • Perform software integration, build verification, and system debugging.
  • Participate in software architecture reviews, design discussions, and technical decision-making.
  • Support software releases, feature integration, and defect resolution.
  • Create and maintain software design documentation, interface specifications, and technical reports.
  • Ensure compliance with Automotive SPICE, ISO 26262 processes, and internal development guidelines..

What You'll Bring Along

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Embedded Systems, or a related engineering field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in embedded automotive software development.
  • Strong programming skills in Embedded C.
  • Solid understanding of AUTOSAR Classic architecture.
  • Good knowledge of RTE, BSW, MCAL, ECU configuration, and software integration.
  • Experience working with hardware interfaces and low-level software.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.
  • Experience debugging embedded software using JTAG, Trace32, Lauterbach, or equivalent tools.
  • Familiarity with Git and collaborative software development workflows.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Experience developing and integrating AUTOSAR Software Components (SWCs).
