Software Developer - Oracle APEX - Group IT

Objective:

To be responsible for the development and delivery of structured, well-tested software programs that support the Group’s application systems and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop software programs as per user requirements and approved business needs.
• Produce and deliver quality user interfaces that can be consumed across multiple user devices, applying responsive design techniques and adopting new and emerging technologies.
• Perform testing activities and prepare the required test documentation.
• Prepare technical and user documentation for developed programs.
• Provide user support and training for developed programs, as required.
• Troubleshoot issues related to application software.
• Debug application software to identify and resolve errors.
• Develop programs in compliance with application security standards and best practices.
• Comply with approved standards & procedures related to software development, coding, & source code control.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the reporting Manager/Supervisor.

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or Master of Computer Applications.

Recommended Experience:

• Minimum 2–5 years of professional experience in business software development.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong software development skills with knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, database procedures, functions, packages, and SQL objects.
• Strong Knowledge of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and responsive design techniques.
• Strong Knowledge of RESTful Web Services, API development, and API integration.
• Familiarity with Low-Code/No-Code development platforms and ability to adapt to new and emerging technologies.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, with strong analytical & organizational abilities.
• Strong Knowledge of Oracle Forms & Reports will be an added advantage.
