Java & Networking Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Java & Networking Engineer to join our Java Platform Engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, and support reusable platform components that enable secure, scalable, and reliable communication between Java applications across enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain reusable Java libraries, frameworks, and platform services.
• Improve service-to-service communication and networking capabilities.
• Contribute to Java platform modernization initiatives, including cloud-native and container-based solutions.
• Troubleshoot Java runtime, networking, and connectivity issues.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, cloud, and security teams to integrate platform capabilities.
• Support application teams in adopting platform standards and best practices.
• Contribute to platform modernization, including cloud and container technologies.
• Create reference implementations, sample applications, technical documentation, and developer guidance.
• Utilize AI-assisted and agentic coding tools for prototyping, code generation, testing, documentation, and engineering efficiency where appropriate.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Good understanding of JVM, multithreading, and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including:
• TCP/IP
• HTTP/HTTPS
• TLS/mTLS
• Load balancing
• Service discovery
• Connection management
• Experience working with Linux.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
  

Nice To Have

• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or other container technologies.
• Knowledge of cloud-native application architecture.
• Netty, gRPC, OpenAPI, or messaging technologies.
• JVM performance tuning.
• CI/CD, developer tooling, or scripting experience.
• Experience contributing to shared libraries, frameworks, or enterprise platform services.
