Encore Talent Solutions is currently seeking a Web Developer for a full-time position located in Cincinnati, OH.

Job Description

The Web Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting customer-facing websites and business applications that improve digital experiences and operational efficiency. This position will focus on the Shopify platform with an emphasis on front-end development, website functionality, structured data, technical SEO, system integrations, and performance optimization.

As business needs evolve, the role will expand into broader full-stack development, including backend services, APIs, database development, cloud technologies, and Microsoft-based applications.

The ideal candidate has strong front-end web development experience, Shopify or Shopify Plus expertise, and a passion for building scalable, high-performing digital solutions while collaborating across IT and business teams.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain web applications, websites, and business software solutions that support organizational goals.
• Build and customize Shopify Plus themes, templates, reusable sections, and content modules using Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Implement website enhancements focused on usability, accessibility, performance, responsive design, and technical SEO.
• Develop and maintain structured data using JSON-LD
• Analyze business requirements and translate functional needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Develop and support integrations between Shopify and third-party systems.
• Support backend application development utilizing C#, .NET/.NET Core, REST APIs, and Microsoft development technologies.
• Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server database objects including tables, views, functions, and stored procedures.
• Troubleshoot application, integration, and website issues while identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions.
• Perform unit testing, regression testing, system validation, and production support activities.
• Research existing applications and codebases to implement enhancements and improve overall system functionality.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, integration specifications, and support documentation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, Marketing, eCommerce, Product Data, Sales, Operations, and external vendors to deliver technology solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Follow established software development best practices including version control, code reviews, documentation, testing, and deployment processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional web development or software development experience.
• Experience developing responsive web applications utilizing JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern web development practices.
• Experience developing and maintaining Shopify or Shopify Plus websites, including Liquid templating and theme customization.
• Experience integrating APIs and third-party business applications.
• Strong understanding of web development principles, responsive design, accessibility, and software development best practices.
• Experience supporting technical SEO initiatives, structured data implementation, or website performance optimization preferred.
• Experience with C#, .NET Framework, or .NET Core preferred.
• Experience with SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, functions, and relational database concepts preferred.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS) preferred.
• Experience with automated testing, regression testing, and software quality assurance practices preferred.
• Experience supporting retail, eCommerce, multi-location, or service-based organizations preferred.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
