Embedded/Linux Software Developer

Your mission

We are looking for a dedicated Embedded Software Developer to join our growing engineering team. You will work on innovative projects involving embedded Linux systems, Yocto-based builds, and containerized microservice architectures. You’ll contribute to the design and development of communication software stacks and industrial applications for both customer projects and BE.services’ own product lines.

We need you

• Develop and maintain embedded software for industrial and edge computing systems
• Build and customize Linux distributions using Yocto Project
• Design and implement container-based and microservices architectures for embedded environments
• Integrate and test communication software stacks (e.g., OPC UA, MQTT, or fieldbus protocols)
• Collaborate in small, agile teams or work independently on customer projects
• Work closely with customers to understand requirements and ensure high-quality, reliable software delivery
• Contribute to internal R&D projects and product development initiatives

You are a good fit for us

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of professional experience in embedded software development
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and Linux, especially Yocto-based builds
• Experience with container technologies (Docker, Torizon) and microservice architectures
• Familiar with embedded systems, communication software stacks, and various operating systems (Linux, RTOS, freeRTOS, Zephyr, etc.)
• Understanding of industrial communication technologies and protocols is a strong plus
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented work style
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset
• Fluency in English and German (both written and spoken)
