A high-tech engineering organisation in Stuttgart develops sophisticated software systems for complex technical devices in a security-related environment. This is an application-level software development role — not microcontroller or bare-metal firmware. You will write C++ and Python in a cross-location agile team, working to quality and safety standards that have real-world consequences. If your embedded Linux experience is at the application or system layer and your German is business-fluent, this is worth reading.

This is an application-level software development role on Linux-based devices — not microcontroller or RTOS-level firmware. You will join a cross-location agile development team, writing and maintaining software in C++ and Python, integrating and testing code, and supporting the approval and certification process.

THE ROLE

• Implement new functionality in C++ within a safety-related software codebase

• Analyse and resolve software defects across the product

• Integrate and test code across the product — ensuring quality and traceability

• Support the approval and certification process

• Work collaboratively in a cross-location agile development team

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Solid C/C++ experience — object-oriented software development

• Embedded Linux at application or system level (not bare-metal or RTOS)

• Experience in a safety or quality-regulated environment

• Advanced Python skills

• Business-fluent German — mandatory

• Work authorisation for Germany required
