Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
- 5 years of coding experience in two or more of the following languages: Java, C/C++, C#, Objective-C, Python, JavaScript, PHP, Ruby or Go.
- 5 years of experience with machine learning algorithms and tools (e.g., PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow), artificial intelligence, deep learning, LLMs, or natural language processing.
- 2 years of experience with compiler infrastructure (LLVM, GCC) or programming language formalization.
- 2 years of experience in low level ML accelerator programming, compiler or other close to hardware performance programming.
In this role, you will work on high-risk and high-impact projects where machine learning meets formal methods to design and optimize computing systems. You will reinforce and complement DeepMind teams based in Paris, involving broader and daily collaboration with teams in London, Zürich, North America and Asia-Pacific regions.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

- Write product or system development code.
- Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
- Application of formal methods and constraint programming to the verification of complex computing systems.
- Perform MLIR-based compiler construction.
- Oversee the application of differentiable programming, generative machine learning and reinforcement learning to design and implement domain-specific computing systems.
