Software Engineer I

This position performs complex research, design, and software development assignments within a specific software functional area or product line. This is an exciting opportunity to learn cutting edge, and dynamic technology built to make “Big Data” management easier and simpler. This role will include extracting, loading, cleansing, translating, manipulating, analyzing, linking and indexing massive amounts of data utilizing cutting edge technology and techniques. This position will have the opportunity to work alongside talented colleagues with a variety of skills and business/industry content knowledge and will collaborate closely with internal business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver a product experience that aims to exceed customer expectations.

Key Accountabilities

• Review portions of requirements for the development of system components of moderate complexity.
• Complete testing of new development and bug fixes.
• Work closely with other development team members and Business to understand product requirements and translate them testing procedures.
• Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
• Resolve technical issues as necessary.
• Keep abreast of new technology developments.
• Make suggestions for code design and changes and be accountable for the testing procedures assigned to you.

Qualifications

• Education: BS Engineering/Computer Science experience required.
• 3 years experiences in any of programming languages - Java, C++, C#
• 1-2 years’ experience using Github.
• 2 years’ experience on any database – Oracle, MySQL or SQL server
• 2 years’ experience on any UNIX operating systems (includes shell scripting, awk scripting)
• Understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
• Any experience with data is a plus.
• Familiarity with Python.
• Any experience with cloud DevOps is a plus
• Any exposure to Azure Cloud is a plus.
• Ability to quickly learn and apply enterprise AI tools and technologies to support technical workflows and business objectives
