Mobile Application Developer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Makati for a Mobile Application Developer. We are looking for a proactive, hands-on Mobile App Developer to build and scale our fintech mobile application, delivering secure, high-performance digital payment experiences to users on iOS and Android. This is not just a feature-shipping role; you will work onsite alongside product managers, designers, and backend engineers as a core contributor to how our users manage and move money in a regulated, security-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Mobile Application Development:

◦ Develop and maintain high-quality React Native applications for iOS and Android.

◦ Optimize app performance, reliability, and security in line with mobile and fintech best practices.

◦ Manage app releases, updates, and deployments to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

• Fintech Feature & Security Implementation:

◦ Build secure fintech features including digital payments, QR code scanning, biometric authentication, and OTP/MFA flows.

◦ Integrate RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and third-party payment and banking services.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration & Engineering Standards:

◦ Collaborate with designers, backend developers, and QA to deliver intuitive, high-performance mobile experiences.

◦ Participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and continuous improvement of engineering standards.

◦ Contribute to technical decisions around architecture, tooling, and scalability as the product grows.

Qualifications

• Experience: Proven experience building production mobile apps with React Native or similar.

• Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern React patterns (hooks, context, functional components).

• API Integration: Solid understanding of RESTful API integration and asynchronous data handling.

• Security Fundamentals: Familiarity with mobile security fundamentals, including secure storage, OAuth 2.0, and JWT.

• Work Style: Comfortable working onsite in a cross-functional, fast-moving team.

• Experience building fintech, banking, digital wallet, or payment applications.

• Hands-on experience with biometric authentication and OTP/MFA implementation.

• Experience with WebSockets and real-time data flows.

• Experience with Firebase, push notifications, deep linking, and native module integration (Swift/Kotlin bridging).

• Experience working in a regulated or compliance-heavy industry.

• Experience shipping apps to both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

• Awareness of AMLC (Anti-Money Laundering Council) regulations as they relate to fintech mobile compliance.
