Role

We are seeking a Mobile Architect / Technical Leader to design and build high-performance, enterprise-grade mobile applications within our Experience Engineering and Digital Emerging Tech portfolios. In this role, you will lead the delivery of offline-first, data-rich applications for a global retail leader, leveraging a heavy hyper scaler application landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Development: Design and develop robust cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android using React Native.
• Enterprise Integration: Implement and customize mobile solutions using the Salesforce Mobile SDK, ensuring seamless synchronization between devices and enterprise clouds.
• Offline Data Management: Architect robust Offline-First capabilities utilizing local database synchronization (Smart Store / SmartSync) to manage complex local data persistence.
• Computer Vision Integration: Implement image processing and computer vision features (e.g., shelf scanning, asset recognition, or document processing) using OpenCV within the mobile environment.
• State Management: Manage complex application states and data flows using Redux or Redux Toolkit.
• Technical Leadership: Lead technical design for mobile modules, perform rigorous code reviews, optimize app performance (memory/battery), and mentor engineers in mobile best practices.
• Emerging Tech Pilots: Support Digital Emerging Technology initiatives by prototyping mobile-first AI/ML features and integrating with hyperscaler-hosted APIs (e.g., GCP Vision AI).

What We Are Looking For (Must Haves)

• Core Framework: Expert-level proficiency in React Native and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Enterprise Mobile SDKs: Hands-on experience with the Salesforce Mobile SDK and Smart Store DB.
• State Management: Deep, enterprise-scale understanding of Redux or Redux Toolkit.
• Computer Vision: Direct experience integrating OpenCV or similar C-Native modules into React Native applications.
• Version Control: Advanced proficiency in GitHub workflows, automated mobile build pipelines, and Git-based collaboration.
• Experience: 10+ years of total software engineering experience with a clear track record in senior, leadership, or architectural mobile roles.

Nice to Have (Good to Have)

• Native Modules: Ability to write Native Bridges in Swift/Objective-C (iOS) or Java/Kotlin (Android).
• Hyperscaler Exposure: Experience connecting mobile apps to cloud backend services (e.g., GCP, Azure, Cloud Run, App Services).
• Salesforce Ecosystem: Familiarity with Apex, SOQL, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
• Mobile Security: Deep knowledge of OAuth2, Certificate Pinning, and secure local storage patterns.
• Domain Knowledge: Understanding of FMCG/retail execution, van sales, or field-force automation workflows.
