Role Overview

As a Staff Software Engineer, you'll lead the design and implementation of transformative platform updates for product integration. You'll set technical standards, raise the bar for AI-assisted engineering, and foster collaboration within our client's highly skilled team. You'll influence the technical roadmap, drive alignment across stakeholders, and act as a mentor for team members.

Key Skills and Expertise

• Advanced Software Engineering: 8+ years of experience with proven cross-team impact and significant platform-level contributions.
• Polyglot Programming: Proficiency in Java and Kotlin, with experience in Go or Node.js being a plus.
• Distributed Systems: Comprehensive knowledge of event-focused systems, with hands-on experience using Kafka, CQRS, event sourcing, and API gateway technologies.
• Database Expertise: Sound judgment in relational (PostgreSQL) and non-relational databases, ensuring query performance and managing migrations under load.
• AI Tool Proficiency: Effective use of AI coding tools, such as Claude Code or comparable solutions, as part of your daily workflow.
• Cloud & Containers: Familiarity with cloud services like Azure and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Communication Skills: Top-notch written and verbal communication to produce clear, structured design documents, proposals, and postmortems.
