What To Expect

Responsibilities:

• Work on an application distributed across multiple data centers, built on microservices architecture with Apache Kafka for synchronous replication.
• Use proven technologies such as Java, Apache Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift to deliver 24/7 availability and resiliency.
• Develop, test (including automated unit and integration tests), and support cloud-native applications following DevOps and DevSecOps best practices.
• Deploy changes, patches, and releases in test and production environments.
• Prepare, present, test and execute changes in Production.
• Perform occasional Production changes outside business hours (± once per month).
• Log, investigate and resolve/escalate operational issues occurring in test and production systems.
• Ensure high availability, data integrity, and security through appropriate controls and validation.
• Participate in change planning and risk mitigation activities.
• Stay up to date on DevOps tools, SRE practices, modern deployment techniques, and industry trends.
• Suggest improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and operational robustness.

What Will Make You Successful?

Relevant Experience

• Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience developing and maintaining (preferably distributed and cloud-based) applications, using Java (preferable) and/or other equivalent object-oriented paradigm language(s).

Technical Skills

• Professional experience with preferably Java and/or other equivalent object-oriented paradigm language(s).
• Strong hands‑on experience with Linux systems (RedHat preferred).
• Comfortable in deep diving, contributing and improving day to day operational aspects of the application.
• Experience working with some of the continuous integration/delivery technologies, e.g. Git, Maven, Jenkins, ArgoCD etc.
• Experience working with some of the modern platforms and related technology stack(s), e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Kibana, Ansible etc.
• Experience with any relational databases (e.g. Oracle, H2 etc.) and preferably with some data modelling.
• Understanding of SSL/TLS, HTTP/S, XML (XSD, XSLT) etc.
• Knowledge of distributed frameworks (Kafka, Zookeeper).

• SWIFT Alliance products (Alliance Access, Alliance Gateway, Swiftnet Link) knowledge/experience.
• SWIFT messaging formats knowledge/experience.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures and running distributed systems.
