We’re hiring a Senior Android Engineer to join a major UK financial services organisation undergoing a significant digital transformation, including the integration of a newly acquired bank.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll combine hands-on Android development with technical leadership, helping shape modern mobile platforms used by millions of customers.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing and building high-quality Android applications
• Acting as a technical SME within the team
• Driving best practices across code quality, architecture and CI/CD
• Supporting production systems and incident resolution
• Contributing to platform and system-level decisions, not just mobile UI

Tech stack and environment

• Android: Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, MVVM, Coroutines
• CI/CD: Modern automated pipelines
• Ways of working: Agile, DevOps
• Exposure to:
• Cloud and backend integrations
• Monitoring, observability and live service support

What we’re looking for

• Strong experience in Android development (Kotlin ideally)
• Solid understanding of modern mobile architecture patterns
• Ability to operate as a senior engineer or technical lead
• Experience delivering and supporting production applications
• A mindset focused on ownership, quality and continuous improvement

Nice to have:

• iOS exposure (Swift / SwiftUI)
• Experience in financial services or regulated environments
