Remote - AI DEVELOPER - LLM & CONVERSATION AIWorking hours: 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM California time (equivalent to 10:00 PM - 07:00 AM Vietnam time), 5 days/week.We are seeking experienced AI Developers to build and scale next-generation Voice and SMS AI solutions powered by Large Language Models (LLMs). You will work on real-world applications within the fintech and debt settlement industry, developing production-grade conversational AI systems that directly impact business operations. This is a long-term, full-time remote position. What is “debt settlement”?Debt settlement is the process of negotiating with creditors to reduce the total amount owed.It’s typically used by consumers who are experiencing financial hardship and can’t keep up with minimum payments. Rather than paying the full balance, the goal is to reach an agreement to pay a reduced lump sum or structured payments.I. Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain AI-powered Voice Bots and SMS Bots using conversational AI platforms such as RetellAI or equivalent solutions.
- Build and manage node-based conversation flows, including conversation routing and user state management for complex business scenarios.
- Design and optimize production-grade system prompts to ensure accurate handling of diverse real-world use cases while minimizing hallucinations.
- Integrate LLM APIs with internal systems through tool/function calling, structured outputs (JSON), and multi-step workflow orchestration.
- Develop and maintain multi-turn conversation workflows that preserve context and deliver a consistent user experience.
- Integrate AI bots with backend systems through REST APIs, Webhooks, and secure authentication mechanisms.
- Design and implement evaluation frameworks for AI applications, including test cases, regression testing, and performance quality metrics.
- Optimize operational costs and system response latency through techniques such as model cascading, context compression, and token optimization.
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation to support product development, deployment, and ongoing system operations.
- Perform other tasks as required by management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, AI, Data Science or related field.
- Proven hands-on experience developing and deploying applications powered by Large Language Models (LLMs) in production environments (not proof-of-concept or demo projects).
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing production-grade system prompts for real-world AI applications, including complex business workflows and edge-case handling.
- Experience working with Conversational AI platforms for Voice Bots and/or SMS Bots, such as: RetellAI, Vapi, Bland AI, Voiceflow, Twilio or equivalent platforms.
- Strong proficiency in: LLM APIs, Function Calling/Tool Calling, Structured Outputs (JSON), Workflow orchestration between Models, Tools, and Business Logic.
- Solid understanding of Conversation State Management, including: State summaries, Context retention strategies, State lifecycle management (set, clear, override), State prioritization, Time-to-Live (TTL) management for pending confirmation states.
- Experience integrating AI applications with backend systems through: REST APIs, Webhooks, Authentication & Authorization mechanisms, Payload transformation and data mapping.
- Experience designing and implementing quality assurance processes for AI systems, including: Test case design, Regression testing, Performance evaluation, Quality measurement and monitoring.
- Strong English communication skills, including the ability to effectively read and understand technical documentation, write clear and structured prompts, prepare technical documentation, and collaborate in a bilingual Vietnamese-English working environment.
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
