About the Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer, Android to join our mobile engineering team and help build the next generation of Timo's mobile banking experience.

You will design and deliver Android features that power critical financial experiences for our customers. Working closely with Product, Design, Backend, and QA, you will own features end-to-end while growing your skills in modern Android development, mobile security, and large-scale fintech engineering.

You will report to our Lead Android Engineer.

What You Will Do

• Design, build, and ship Android features across payments, onboarding, transfers, and savings
• Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code that meets Timo's engineering standards
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Backend, and QA to deliver customer-centric solutions
• Contribute to code reviews, testing, and performance improvements across the Android codebase
• Help maintain and modernize our Android app — including ongoing migration from Java to Kotlin
• Grow as an engineer by learning from senior teammates and contributing to engineering discussions

What We Are Looking For

Experience

• 3–5 years of Android application development
• Experience shipping production Android apps at a meaningful scale
• Comfortable working in agile, cross-functional product teams

Skills & Expertise

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin (working knowledge of Java is a plus)
• Good understanding of Android architecture patterns (MVVM or similar)
• Experience with Coroutines, Flow, or other asynchronous programming models
• Familiarity with dependency injection (Hilt or Dagger), Jetpack libraries, and REST APIs
• Experience with testing and debugging Android applications
• Awareness of mobile security and performance best practices
• Working English for collaboration with our Lead Android Engineer and regional Kredivo teams
