We are looking for an experienced mobile engineering manager to lead and scale our mobile engineering function across Android and iOS platforms. This role requires a strong combination of technical leadership, people management, architecture expertise, and execution ownership. The ideal candidate should have deep experience building and scaDling consumer-grade mobile applications, leading high-performing engineering teams, and driving end-to-end mobile product delivery in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with product, design, backend, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-performance mobile experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage Android and iOS engineering teams.
• Drive architecture, scalability, and technical strategy for mobile applications.
• Own end-to-end mobile application delivery, releases, and engineering execution.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend teams to define and deliver product roadmaps.
• Mentor engineers and build a strong engineering culture focused on quality, ownership, and innovation.
• Improve app performance, reliability, monitoring, and release processes.
• Define engineering best practices, coding standards, and review processes.
• Manage sprint planning, estimations, technical roadmaps, and delivery timelines.
• Drive CI/CD automation and engineering productivity improvements.
• Participate in hiring, team building, and performance management initiatives.
• Ensure scalability, security, maintainability, and operational excellence across mobile platforms.

Requirements:

• 12+ years of overall software engineering experience with a strong focus on mobile technologies.
• Proven experience managing and scaling engineering teams.
• Strong expertise in Android (Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack Compose) and iOS (Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit)
• Experience with Flutter or React Native is a plus.
• Strong understanding of MVVM, clean architecture, modular architecture, offline-first architecture, REST APIs and GraphQL.
• Experience with Firebase, Crashlytics, analytics, and mobile monitoring tools.
• Strong exposure to CI/CD pipelines and mobile release automation.
• Experience managing App Store and Play Store release cycles.
• Expertise in mobile performance optimisation, crash reduction, and scalability.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience building large-scale consumer-facing mobile applications.
• Strong product mindset with a data-driven decision-making approach.
• Exposure to backend systems and cloud platforms.
• Experience managing distributed teams and multiple mobile squads.
• Prior experience in high-growth startups or product organisations is preferred.
