Middle Data Engineer

This is you

• 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer in production environments.
• Strong Python skills including application and backend development.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, partitioning, and schema evolution.
• Proficiency in SQL for data transformation and querying.
• Practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform preferred).
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred).
• Strong communication and documentation skills in English.

• Knowledge of data pipelining and orchestration frameworks (Airflow, Step Functions).
• Understanding of data quality and observability tools.
• Familiarity with machine learning workflows (MLFlow, Feature Stores).
• Experience with API development (FastAPI, Flask).
• Awareness of FinOps or cost-efficient cloud architecture design.

• Participate in architecture discussions, performance tuning, and cost optimization.
• Design and implement robust data pipelines and backend applications in Python and SQL.
• Build and maintain data infrastructure (storage, compute, orchestration) using IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Develop and deploy ETL/ELT jobs to transform and enrich data from multiple sources.
• Work with cloud-native tools (AWS, Azure, or GCP), especially services like S3, ECS, Lambda, and DynamoDB (or equivalents).
• Apply best practices for CI/CD, testing, observability, and data governance.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, design solutions, and ensure delivery aligns with business goals.
