Responsibilities
- Define and lead the architecture of end-to-end robotics solutions across software, hardware, simulation, and cloud environments
- Drive technical direction and support engineering teams throughout the full development lifecycle
- Establish reusable architectural patterns, engineering standards, and best practices for robotics projects
- Evaluate and recommend technologies, tools, and platforms for scalable robotics systems
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders during technical discovery, solution design, and architecture reviews
- Support validation and deployment of robotics systems in simulated and real-world environments
- Mentor engineers and contribute to the growth of technical excellence within the robotics team
- Research emerging robotics technologies and translate them into practical engineering solutions
- Advanced experience in robotics system architecture and software development, including leading complex robotics projects
- Strong expertise in C/C++ and Python for scalable, production-grade robotics applications
- Strong experience with ROS/ROS2 and robotics domains such as perception, SLAM, localization, mapping, and motion planning
- Advanced knowledge of mobile robotics systems, autonomous platforms, or industrial automation solutions
- Hands-on experience with simulation tools, computer vision, sensor integration, and real-time robotic systems
- Strong understanding of software engineering practices, testing, CI/CD, and Linux-based development environments
- Experience translating business needs into technical solutions and communicating architectural decisions to diverse stakeholders
- Proven technical leadership, mentoring, and collaboration skills in cross-functional engineering teams
- MSc or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Advanced English proficiency for daily communication, documentation, and stakeholder interaction
- Professional working proficiency in German for Germany-based candidates to support business and stakeholder communication
