Mobile Software Engineer, Google Pay

Google will be prioritizing applicants who have a current right to work in Singapore, and do not require Google's sponsorship of a visa.Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• Experience with mobile experience (e.g., Android, iOS or Flutter development).

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with full stack development, across back-end (such as Java, Python, Golang, or C++ codebases).
• Experience building systems that scale to millions of users globally.
• Working effectively with Product Manager/User Experience (PM/UX) to drive features end-to-end.

Google Pay now serves over 250M users in India. Our Singapore-based team is the engine behind many of the India Consumer app’s core features. We own the end-to-end reliability and growth for critical user surfaces, driving both engagement and multi-million dollar revenue streams.

In this role, you will take full ownership of key product areas, building the next generation of features to scale our massive user base even further.Whether it is paying online with Autofill, using tap and pay in stores, or using the Google Pay app, the Payments team at Google is focused on making payments simple, seamless, and secure. In addition to consumer payment technologies, the Payments team also powers the money movement between Google and its consumers and businesses.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain key surfaces within the Flutter-based Google Pay app, with a focus on feature implementation, performance optimization, User Interface (UI) development and Remote Procedure Call (RPC) integration.
• Write high-quality, well-tested, and maintainable code in Android/iOS, Flutter, Java, Dart.
• Take on opportunities to develop as full-stack engineers by building and owning entire user flows in the app with a focus on business logic, performance and latency.
