About Arch-i
Arch-i is the intelligent health platform of erudite.health, a Belgian healthcare group. We work to a single principle: unified medicine, science and care brought together to address the cause of a complaint, not just the symptom. The app is the front door to all of this: the screen where the user meets Arch-i.
→ To strengthen our engineering team, we are looking for a Mobile Engineer to build the patient app of Arch-i: the place where every user takes their health into their own hands.
Your role
As a Mobile Engineer, you build the patient app of Arch-i: the front door that turns a medical history into personalised advice, in the user's hand. You write native production code for iOS (Swift) and/or Android (Kotlin): no prototypes, close to the design, the engine and the data that together shape the advice.
What advice shows only goes live after clinical sign-off. You respect that gate and build the app so it becomes faster and safer.
You are responsible for:
→ Building and improving the patient app: from medical history to clear, personalised advice
→ Building the camera scan: reliable capture that delivers usable input for the vision-pipeline
→ Delivering a fast, stable and accessible app (a11y) on the devices your users actually have
→ Integrating with the engine via APIs; managing state, caching and offline behaviour
→ Privacy by design: secure storage, consent flows and the utmost care for health data (GDPR)
→ Setting up tests, CI/CD and monitoring; making releases predictable, not nerve-wracking
→ End-to-end ownership: from idea to store to monitoring
Your profile
→ Bachelor's or master's in computer science or equivalent through experience
→ At least 3 years' experience in mobile app development (iOS and/or Android)
→ Strong native experience in Swift (iOS) and/or Kotlin (Android): a proven track record of shipping apps to the stores
→ Experience with API integration, state management and async work
→ You write tested, readable code and think in systems, not in one-off scripts
→ Fluent Dutch and professional English
→ A plus: experience with camera, computer vision or on-device image processing
→ A plus: mobile CI/CD, app store release automation and an eye for design and accessibility
→ A plus: apps in health, care or a regulated environment
What Arch-i offers you
→ A role with real impact: you build the screen where people take their health into their own hands
→ A small, strong team and short decision lines, your code goes live fast
→ A platform with a scientific foundation and the backing of an established Belgian healthcare group
→ Room to grow in mobile, vision and MLOps, with real responsibility from day one
→ A competitive salary package with fringe benefits, and hybrid working from Ghent
