We're working with a fast-growing mobility technology company based in Hasselt looking for an experienced Android Developer to join its engineering team.
The company develops sustainable and renewable mobility solutions and is seeking a versatile software engineer with strong Android expertise and a passion for building high-quality mobile applications that deliver real impact.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain advanced Android applications
- Build modern mobile experiences using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
- Collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, designers, and QA teams
- Contribute to software architecture and technical decision-making
- Improve application performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
- Support the continuous evolution of the company’s mobility platform and products
Requirements
- Strong professional experience in Android development
- Excellent knowledge of Kotlin
- Solid experience with Jetpack Compose
- Good understanding of Java and experience working with existing Android codebases
- Versatile software engineering background with strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, testing, and scalable application development
- Experience integrating REST APIs and modern mobile architectures
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and agile development methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in mobility, transportation, IoT, or connected products
- Knowledge of Clean Architecture, MVVM, or MVI
- Experience with offline-first or real-time mobile applications
- Exposure to cloud platforms or backend technologies
- Experience publishing and maintaining applications on the Google Play Store
