Role Overview:

Angove Partners is partnering with an expanding Identity Verification and KYC technology company building the infrastructure that powers digital onboarding for banks, fintechs, crypto platforms, and online marketplaces globally. These platforms verify user identity in real time during onboarding, using document authentication, biometric verification, and risk scoring - delivered via API or mobile SDK.

We’re looking to connect with Engineers across backend, data, machine learning, computer vision, and mobile development who are interested in building systems at the intersection of identity, fraud prevention, and regulatory technology.

Responsibilities:

• Real-time identity verification systems used in customer onboarding flows
• Document authentication using computer vision and machine learning models
• Biometric matching systems (facial recognition, liveness detection, anti-spoofing)
• Identity risk scoring engines combining multiple data and verification signals
• High-volume API services powering onboarding decisions in seconds
• Mobile SDK development for iOS and Android onboarding experiences
• Integration with global identity, credit, and government data sources
• Infrastructure supporting model deployment, monitoring, and drift detection
• Languages: Python, Java, C++, Go, Swift, Kotlin
• Computer Vision: OpenCV, PyTorch, CNN-based architectures
• ML: classification models, anomaly detection, identity graphs, XGBoost
• Cloud: AWS, GCP
• Data: distributed systems, event processing, identity graphs
• Mobile: camera APIs, biometric APIs, NFC integrations
• MLOps: model deployment, monitoring, drift detection

About you:

We’re interested in connecting with Engineers with experience in:

• Backend / Platform Engineering (APIs, distributed systems, scalable services)
• Data Engineering (identity pipelines, large-scale processing)
• Machine Learning / AI Engineering (classification, anomaly detection, risk scoring)
• Computer Vision Engineering (document analysis, facial recognition, liveness detection)
• Mobile / SDK Engineering (iOS, Android, onboarding SDKs)
• MLOps / Infrastructure (model deployment, monitoring, drift detection)
• Building or working with production systems at scale
• Interest in real-time identity, fraud prevention, or applied ML systems
• Ability to operate in fast-paced, high-growth environments
• Background in fintech, KYC, fraud, or regulated environments is beneficial, but not essential
