About the Position:
Swyfft is looking for a National Accounts leader to identify new and grow existing strategic distribution relationships, including national and super-regional brokerages, cluster groups, aggregators, and program distribution partners.
This polished professional will act as the senior relationship owner for a defined book of national accounts, with full responsibility for driving production growth, developing program placement strategies, and fostering long-term partnerships across our homeowners, commercial property, and flood lines.
Our ideal candidate understands how to navigate complex, multi-layered distribution organizations and can open doors and build relationships with anyone. Previous experience developing short- and long-term market strategies and growth opportunities will be key in delivering measurable business results.
*This position is a 100% remote U.S. based opportunity that can be based in one of the following states only: AL, AZ, FL, GA, KY, LA, MA, MO, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI.
Some travel for day-to-day work, team meetings, tradeshows, conferences and training will be required.
Key Responsibilities: (What you'll be asked to do)
Distribution Leadership
- Own a national accounts portfolio of top-tier agency groups, cluster organizations, and wholesale/retail brokers, with direct accountability for production and growth targets. - Develop and execute account-level strategies that drive new business volume, improve line penetration, and deepen Swyfft's position as a preferred carrier partner. - Negotiate and manage override commission structures, profit-sharing arrangements, and performance incentive agreements in coordination with underwriting and finance. Market Development
- Identify and pursue new national account relationships that align with Swyfft's geographic footprint and appetite across our operating states, with a focus on markets where our product lines have the strongest fit and growth potential. - Partner with territory managers and regional distribution teams to convert national relationships into local production. - Represent Swyfft at key industry events and other regional and specialty insurance conferences to help expand our network and promote our products. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as the internal voice of our distribution partners by sharing market intelligence, appetite insights, and competitive positioning insights with our underwriting, product, and pricing teams. - Parter with internal teams to develop or refine delegated authority arrangements, program structures, or specialty product offerings where national accounts can drive scaled placement. Reporting & Analytics
- Maintain a clear view of production performance across the national account portfolio by carrier, state, and line of business. - Provide regular analysis and reporting to the SVP, Sales & Marketing on pipeline activity, GWP trends, account health, and competitive dynamics. - Track and communicate market conditions, rate environment shifts, and capacity changes relevant to Swyfft's lines of business and operating states. The Successful Candidate: (What we're looking for)
- 10+ years’ previous experience in a national account or strategic partnership role with an insurance distribution, wholesale brokerage, MGA/MGU, or carrier distribution organization. - Demonstrated track record of building and managing large-scale agency or broker relationships with measurable production results. - Familiarity with homeowners, commercial property, and/or flood insurance, ideally with hands-on experience across specialty or hard-to-place property lines. - Experience working within an MGA or program business structure Some Requirements:
- Exceptional relationship building skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at every level of an organization from C-suite to regional production teams. - Strong commercial instincts with the ability to structure deals, negotiate terms, and close complex distribution agreements. - Analytical mindset with an ability to interpret and develop production reports, identify trends, and build a clear business case for investment or strategic shifts. - Clear and persuasive verbal and written communication skills. Education:
- Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience in a related field - MBA preferred Computer Skills:
- We’re an MS Office environment - Experience using video and chat technology (MSTeams & Slack) - Other insurance-related programs. Certifications or Licensing Required:

- Reliable high-speed internet connectivity required. - Designated quiet work from home space. Actual compensation for this position will vary based on skills, qualifications, and experience. The range reflects annual compensation (as applicable) and does not include bonuses or other incentives that the company may choose to pay at its sole discretion.
