What You'll Be Doing

• Design, develop, and maintain secure software solutions for high-security environments.
• Build modern Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Develop scalable backend services and APIs using Rust, Python, or Go.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and technical specialists to deliver innovative solutions.
• Use Git for version control and collaborative software development.
• Containerise applications with Docker to support consistent deployments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practice.
• Take part in code reviews and contribute to improving development standards.
• Develop proof-of-concept applications in fast-moving environments where requirements evolve quickly.

Main Skills Needed

• Commercial experience in software engineering or application development.
• Strong Android development skills using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Backend development experience with Rust, Python, or Go.
• Good understanding of software architecture, APIs, OpenAPI, MVVM/UDF, and core development principles.
• Experience with Docker, containerisation, and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Comfortable working in secure development environments.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is desirable.
• Eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance.
