What You'll Be Doing
- Design, develop, and maintain secure software solutions for high-security environments.
- Build modern Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Develop scalable backend services and APIs using Rust, Python, or Go.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and technical specialists to deliver innovative solutions.
- Use Git for version control and collaborative software development.
- Containerise applications with Docker to support consistent deployments.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practice.
- Take part in code reviews and contribute to improving development standards.
- Develop proof-of-concept applications in fast-moving environments where requirements evolve quickly.
Main Skills Needed
- Commercial experience in software engineering or application development.
- Strong Android development skills using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Backend development experience with Rust, Python, or Go.
- Good understanding of software architecture, APIs, OpenAPI, MVVM/UDF, and core development principles.
- Experience with Docker, containerisation, and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
- Comfortable working in secure development environments.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is desirable.
- Eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance.
