Junior IT Engineer

This role is based in Penrose, Auckland and reports to our regional IT Leadership team.
You will…
- Provide fast, effective onsite and remote IT support, keeping downtime to a minimum.
- Manage the full lifecycle of our IT hardware, from tracking and maintenance to future capacity planning.
- Own the user lifecycle—managing onboarding, offboarding, and access permissions with ease.
- Provide reliable IT support for events to ensure everything runs without a hitch.
- Create and update clear, helpful knowledge documentation for our software and processes.
- Collaborate with our wider IT teams, vendors, and partners to ensure our support is always aligned with global standards.
- Champion IT security by implementing and enforcing policies regarding endpoint protection, VPNs, and file permissions.
- Assist our Infrastructure team in maintaining and troubleshooting our network systems.
- Prior experience in a professional IT support role, where you've honed your technical skills.
- Proficiency in using Generative AI to automate workflows, drive insights, and strengthen quality governance.
- Solid technical knowledge across Google Workspace, Slack, Microsoft Office, and Atlassian tools (Jira/Confluence).
- Experience managing MDM solutions like InTune, JAMF, or MobiControl.
- A strong foundation in Windows, Mac, and Android operating systems, along with network infrastructure.
- Someone with a genuine passion for customer service and building great relationships with your teammates.
- A sharp problem-solver who enjoys breaking down complex issues and finding practical solutions.
- A clear communicator who can translate technical concepts into simple language for everyone.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that requires a full-time, hands-on physical presence.

Duration: Permanent full-time role. You must have the right to work full-time in New Zealand.
Location: Penrose, Auckland – This is a hands-on, onsite role requiring travel between our corporate office and distribution centre.
