What We’ll Need
The Staff Engineer – Flutter is responsible for the architecture, performance, and scalability of mobile applications that power a high-growth, consumer-facing digital platform. This role owns the mobile experience end-to-end, delivering high-quality, high-performance applications used by millions of customers.
This engineer leads the design of scalable mobile architectures that integrate seamlessly with backend systems and cloud infrastructure on AWS. They are responsible for ensuring application responsiveness, reliability, and performance under high user load while maintaining a consistent and engaging user experience.
The role requires deep expertise in mobile engineering, state management, and performance optimization, along with the ability to influence cross-platform strategies and long-term technical direction. This position carries ownership of production health, observability, and continuous improvement of the mobile ecosystem.
What You’ll Need
- Own the architecture and performance of Flutter-based mobile applications at scale
- Design and implement scalable mobile solutions integrated with backend microservices
- Drive performance optimization, responsiveness, and reliability across mobile platforms
- Establish mobile engineering standards, patterns, and best practices
- Partner with product and design teams to deliver seamless, high-quality user experiences
- Lead initiatives around app performance, offline capabilities, and user engagement
- Ensure production readiness, monitoring, and incident response for mobile systems
- Identify and solve complex technical challenges in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Mentor engineers and contribute to the growth of mobile engineering capabilities
- Influence long-term mobile strategy and platform evolution
