We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Technical Lead- Enterprise to join our IT team in Langley, BC.
Reporting to the Sr. Solution Architect, you will be responsible for the end-to-end technical solution design and reliability of integrations. This role will join our IT team implementing a new, transformative workforce management platform which integrates downstream payroll, reporting, and enterprise systems.
This role combines hands-on technical leadership with solution ownership and is critical to ensuring reliability and pay accuracy, as platforms are delivered through a phased rollout.
You will be responsible for:
- Owning the end‑to‑end technical architecture for integrations across enterprise platforms, ensuring clear system boundaries, data ownership, and accountability.
- Leading the design and implementation of reliable, scalable integrations (API, event/message, batch/ETL) that meet enterprise standards for performance, security, and maintainability.
- Defining and enforcing integration engineering standards, including patterns, validation, reconciliation, error handling, monitoring, and recovery.
- Providing hands‑on technical leadership through coaching, mentoring, code reviews, and architectural guidance to developers and integration engineers.
- Ensuring all high‑impact changes are designed, tested, and released safely with proper controls, approvals, and rollback strategies.
- Partnering with business teams and systems analysts to translate complex requirements into scalable, well‑structured technical solutions.
- Coordinating deployments and releases across environments, supporting phased rollouts, cutover planning, and production readiness.
- Establishing and continuously improving CI/CD and release practices, including automated testing, quality gates, and observability.
- Collaborating with project managers, vendors, and implementation partners to build strong delivery plans and proactively mitigate risks.
- Holding vendors and partners accountable to technical standards, delivery commitments, and quality expectations.
- A post-secondary education in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise software development and integration, including technical leadership.
- Hands-on experience designing and delivering mission critical integrations where data accuracy impacts employee pay or compliance.
- Strong understanding of system of record concepts and enterprise integration patterns.
- Proficiency in Java and/or Python, with solid knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, and SQL.
- Experience integrating SaaS and enterprise platforms using APIs, file based, and event/message-based patterns.
- Experience with cloud-based platforms, service-oriented architectures, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Working knowledge of testing, observability, and operational practices required to run integrations reliably in production.
- Strong understanding of security and identity concepts, including SSO, role-based access, secrets management, and auditability.
- A Proven ability to translate business and technical requirements into scalable, well-structured technical designs.
- Experience with Workforce Management, Workday, or other HCM platforms is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with automation, analytics, or optimization is considered an asset.
- A strong technical leader with clear ownership of outcomes and decisions.
- Organized and effective at prioritizing across multiple parallel workstreams.
- Confident navigating ambiguity in complex enterprise and operational contexts.
- A clear, collaborative communicator with both technical and business partners.
- Pragmatic and outcome focused, balancing delivery speed with sound engineering and operational reliability.
- Calm under pressure; able to lead incident response through root cause resolution.
- Detail oriented and data driven, with a strong ability to validate end to end flows and identify integration risks early.

Compensation Details:
$106,279.00 - $132,849.00
The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience and other factors.
