Job Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders to learn business objectives in order to establish appropriate KPI’s
- Partner with analytic engineers and data engineers to source, clean, & transform necessary data
- Build and maintain cards and dashboards to tell a story with data, using clear and concise visualization
- Be a consumer of the reports, monitor them and know when trends shift
- Complete both planned and ad-hoc analysis requests for stakeholders across the enterprise
- Perform exploratory data analysis to correlate business drivers with shifts in KPI’s
- Write clean, efficient SQL queries to extract and analyze data
- Responsible for applying best BI practices with visualization, KPI definitions, and basic statistical principals
- 3-5+ years of experience in BI Development
- Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science
- Experience in a BI tool is required (Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, MicroStrategy, etc.)
- Knowledgeable in SQL is critical, Python/R is a plus
- Natural curiosity with a strong business acumen (retail preferred)
- Ability to work fast and accurately, but with an openness to try new things & fail – constantly iterating
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
- Solid organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple projects easily while meeting deadlines
- Strong communication skills with an ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization
- Ability to handle sensitive data in a confidential manner
