- Lead and develop the Analytics Data Platform team, shaping its architecture and roadmap within the Process and Data Management organization and fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Drive the design and scaling of our modern, cloud-based data platform on Snowflake - covering data ingestion, storage, transformation, and a governed semantic layer - and introduce cost-effective innovations such as real-time data processing.
- Establish platform standards for data modeling, data quality, security, and governance (e.g., role-based access control, data cataloging), ensuring the platform is reliable, performant, and cost-efficient.
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the platform together with your team - monitoring reliability and performance, keeping an eye on cost, and continuously improving stability and automation.
- Partner with business stakeholders across the organization to align the platform with the overall strategy and enable self-service analytics and AI.
- A degree in computer science, information systems, or a comparable field - or equivalent practical experience -plus 5+ years in data engineering, data platforms, or analytics infrastructure.
- At least 3 years of leadership experience, with a proven track record in stakeholder management and delivery in complex, cross-functional environments.
- Hands-on expertise designing, building, and operating modern cloud data platforms or data warehouses, covering ingestion (ETL/ELT), transformation, and pipeline orchestration; experience with Snowflake and the wider ecosystem (Microsoft Fabric, Data Factory, ADLS, Synapse, Databricks) is a plus.
- Strong data modeling and SQL skills plus at least one data engineering language (e.g., Python/PySpark, Spark), with a solid understanding of data governance, security, and platform standardization (role-based access control, data cataloging).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to align technical and business stakeholders around a common platform direction; fluency in English, German a plus. Familiarity with DevOps for data (CI/CD, Git, infrastructure-as-code) and agile ways of working (Scrum/Kanban), plus a basic understanding of ERP data structures (ideally SAP).
