About the Role:


BIP is hiring a senior-level AI / Platform Engineer to support a high-profile technology transformation program within a leading global investment bank’s Credit Trading organization.

This role is ideal for hands-on technologists with experience modernizing trading and analytics platforms across Capital Markets environments. The successful candidate will help design and implement scalable cloud-native data and AI solutions leveraging modern analytics, engineering, and AI-assisted development tooling.


We are seeking self-starters with approximately 6+ years of experience who can work closely alongside client teams in a hybrid onsite model and contribute across platform engineering, analytics engineering, AI-enabled development, and front-office trading technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:


Capital Markets & Trading Technology:

  • Support modernization initiatives across Credit Trading technology and analytics platforms.
  • Partner with trading, risk, and front-office stakeholders to implement scalable data and reporting solutions.
  • Contribute to enterprise data platform transformations supporting trading workflows and analytics.


Cloud Data & Analytics Engineering:

  • Design and implement modern cloud-native data solutions using Snowflake and dbt.
  • Build scalable data models, transformation pipelines, and analytics workflows.
  • Develop reporting and visualization solutions using Sigma and PowerBI dashboards.
  • Improve data accessibility, governance, and performance across enterprise platforms.


Full-Stack & Platform Engineering:

  • Contribute to development initiatives across C#.Net, Python, JavaScript, and Golang ecosystems.
  • Support modernization and containerization efforts for legacy .Net applications.
  • Build scalable APIs, microservices, and cloud-native engineering solutions.


AI-Assisted Engineering & Automation:

  • Leverage AI development tools such as Claude and related LLM tooling to accelerate documentation, code generation, testing, and engineering workflows.
  • Support implementation of intelligent automation and AI-enabled development practices across engineering teams.


DevOps & Infrastructure Engineering:

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code solutions.
  • Support cloud deployment automation using Terraform, GitHub, containerization, and DevOps best practices.
  • Help improve platform scalability, observability, resiliency, and operational efficiency.


Required Skills & Experience:


  • 6+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, AI Engineering, or related technical disciplines.
  • Experience working within Capital Markets, Credit Trading, Private Equity/Assets, Fixed Income, or front-office trading technology environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with: Snowflake, dbt, Sigma, PowerBI
  • Experience leveraging AI tools such as Claude or similar LLM-based developer tooling for code generation, testing, documentation, and engineering acceleration.
  • Strong programming experience in one or more of: C#.Net, Python, JavaScript, Golang
  • Experience modernizing enterprise platforms and supporting cloud-native architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with: Terraform, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code practices, Containerization technologies
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly alongside client engineering and business teams in a hybrid environment.
  • Self-starter with the ability to operate independently within fast-paced delivery environments.


Highly Preferred:


  • Experience supporting Credit Trading, Private Equity/Assets, or Fixed Income analytics platforms.
  • Experience modernizing legacy .Net applications into containerized cloud-native environments.
  • Experience building enterprise analytics and reporting solutions for trading or risk organizations.
  • Exposure to AI-enabled software engineering workflows and intelligent developer tooling.
  • Experience within highly regulated financial services environments.


**The base salary range for this role is $140,000 - $200,000, with flexibility for exceptional candidates**
